Just a few of the little things making me quite happy lately….

Harney & Sons Hot Cinnamon Spice Tea

Finally burning the last of the discontinued Pacifica Cinnamon candle, because there’s no time like the present, right? Luckily Pacifica Mexican Cocoa, a very close second favorite, is still available.

Paris Faux Fur Throw c/o Soft Surroundings
The lovely people at Soft Surroundings must have noticed my recent faux fur obsession and generously gifted me with the Paris Faux Fur Throw, and it really hasn’t left my side since its arrival ( if it isn’t on my lap it is being cuddled and napped on by our little terrier). It is cozy, amazingly warm, and super soft, and the ripple stitching looks really gorgeous draped over the arm of our white sofa. You really must take a peek at the Soft Surroundings site, you won’t be disappointed, every time I browse another item ends up on my wish list!
I am very excitedly making a list of treats for tea on Friday morning, and I can hardly wait to bite into a delicious crumpet and take in all the pomp! The great thing about tea is that you can have it any time of day, whether you are a die hard need to see it live girl like myself, or a more sensible afternoon DVR viewer. I know that the only way I am getting up before 4am is if there is marmalade involved. Well, that’s a lie, I think we all know I am getting up before 4am because there are tiaras involved!
Tips: 1. Most of these items can be found in the international isle of your local grocery store, so do take a peek. I am including a recipe for crumpets, but I have also spotted them packaged in the bakery section of the store.
2. If you are treating yourself to crumpets with clotted cream and jam (or marmalade) spread the jam on the crumpet first, then a dollop of cream on top. In the reverse order the jam tends to slide right off the cream.

I would love nothing more today than to fashion a little tent like this for myself and spend the day reading, napping, and of course drinking a few lovely cups of tea. Doesn’t this look heavenly? I think I would start with a delicious, fragrant cup of Earl Grey and perhaps a bit of Jane Austen.

Since I’m feeling a bit under the weather my already frequent tea consumption has ramped up a few notches. Nothing quite hits the spot when you have that empty head, plugged ears, brain running in slow motion feeling. Lucky for me there is now a healthy, antioxidant full, white tea version of my very favorite Earl Grey. And if that doesn’t work I can always give the old hot toddy another go!
