Happy Friday everyone!! Any fabulous and exciting plans? Husband and I are continuing the anniversary fun with re-enactments of some favorite meals from our San Francisco honeymoon (spoiler: it involved a lot of delicious sushi). You know how sometimes you ask your grandparents why they do something a certain way and it has been so long that they have completely forgotten how it all started so they just say “I don’t know, we’ve always done it this way“? I wonder if as the years go by we will forget how all our little traditions started and say they same to our grandkids. I hope not. I hope I’m able to tell them how after a long flight to our honeymoon, on which a little boy had peed himself thus smelling up the entire plane , grandma and grandpa were too tired and cranky to find a place for dinner and therefore raided the minibar. And that’s how we started Pringles and Heineken night. Or how we found the best sushi place in the world (Sushi Ran in Mill Valley) by getting lost and in desperation typing sushi into the navigation system and driving to the one with the best name. Do you have any silly little traditions like this with your husband/boyfriend/family/friends?
I’ll leave you this week with an anniversary appropriate pair of cocktails:
