Ah, whisky. So many gorgeous bottles, so many different varieties. Scotch, bourbon, rye, Tennessee, Irish, Canadian, there is truly something for everyone. (If you’ve tried a variety and think you don’t like whisky, try a different type, even just a different brand can make a huge difference.) Any of these stunners would look lovely on your bar cart, and make a gift no cocktail lover could resist! As if you couldn’t already guess, my favorite is that lovely little plaid bottle of Scotch Whisky, isn’t it just perfect?

The traditional colors of Halloween, black and orange, just don’t do it for me. In fact, I avoid the combination most of the time and especially in October. Black and gold however is an entirely different story. The perfect combination of dark magic and glamour, I absolutely can’t get enough! I’ve become so enamored with the combination I’ll be hard pressed to stop indulging once the spooky fun is over.

Every fall I daydream about horseback riding lessons. There is something so magical and appealing about the thought of bundling up in boots and a sweater and riding on a chilly day with fallen leaves crunching underfoot, the smell of distant fireplaces burning in the air. And I have a theory that leaf peeping would be infinitely more enjoyable on horseback than in a car. One of these days I really need to follow through and book a lesson (I’ve never ridden a horse and I have to admit I’m a bit nervous!), but until then I can continue to daydream and perhaps incorporate some of these equestrian pieces into my life to tide me over. I mean let’s be honest, the accessories are at least half the fun, one almost wouldn’t miss the horse when walking about town in that fantastic Smythe hunting jacket.
