It is interesting how opposite we consider wood and gold, one very glamorous the other very earthy and unassuming, when they both come to us straight from nature. But it is true, and when combined they balance each other out wonderfully and give a sense of casual, natural glamour. I inevitably start craving adornments that look plucked from the outdoors in springtime, so of course, I want to add a bit of gilded wood to every room, and fill my jewelry box too!

It seems Mother Nature is playing a little trick on us, first declaring the start of spring and then serving up some freezing weather. That’s alright, cold weather is the perfect excuse to stay indoors, dust off my art supplies and finally finish up some projects. I can’t wait to get my hands dirty, painting and sketching is one of the few things that can totally ruin my manicure and have me loving every minute of it! Now if only I could find some cute artist smocks to protect my clothing, something like these adorable dresses perhaps?

We can’t help but be reminded of the beauty of the color green on St. Patrick’s Day. Jessica Stam’s gorgeous apartment was recently featured on APT with LSD (which I am obsessed with) and I am completely in love with it. Airy, bright, and fresh, with an unexpectedly lovely green and yellow color scheme, it is perfect for spring. I adore that sofa, Jessica and her sweet pup Buck Owens look so chic and comfortable lounging on what appears to be soft velvet. The open book on her coffee table? Grace Coddington’s Thirty Years of Fashion at Vogue. A girl after my own heart!
