A few days ago I read a quote that really stuck with me: “It isn’t the mountain ahead that wears you down; it’s the grain of sand in your shoe”. I found myself thinking about that quote as I was unlocking the door. I looked down at my ancient carabiner keyring and realized it isn’t the lack of Hermes Birkin bag that bugs me (although someday that would be nice!), it’s using this ratty old keyring that makes me feel like I’m still a poor college student coming home to a dorm room. My very own pebble of bother.
As you can see from this little black and gold wish list, I really am craving something much more glamourous. The Penthouse key fob would definitely make me feel like a proper grownup (even if the door it unlocks doesn’t lead to a penthouse quite yet).

I love the sentiment behind this. Small things can definitely make or break your day.
I so appreciate this post because I’m in desperate need of a keychain!! I don’t even have an old, ratty one currently. I’m just keychain-less, and keeping two single keys in my wallet. Must remedy this situation stat.
I made that quote my status on fb, my sister commented “I’ve got to get out of this sand dune.”
