Just as I thought my obsession with Tom Ford’s cosmetic packaging was beginning to wane the Fall 2011 collection made an appearance. Especially this month as I crave all things dark and glamorous these little gems have shot to the top of the wish list! Wouldn’t this lipstick tube be just the perfect thing to pull out for a touch up at a swanky Halloween party? Very film noir, you just know this is the type of makeup Bette Davis would have had on her vanity.
I adore a big statement piece, but sometimes all it takes is the barest wisp of gold and thread to set my heart aflutter. Like this Diamond Leaf Bracelet by Scosha. Perfectly barely there. I think delicate jewelry like this is the perfect way to mark a special occasion, after all you never want to take off a sentimental piece and with this tiny delight you would never need to.
The traditional colors of Halloween, black and orange, just don’t do it for me. In fact, I avoid the combination most of the time and especially in October. Black and gold however is an entirely different story. The perfect combination of dark magic and glamour, I absolutely can’t get enough! I’ve become so enamored with the combination I’ll be hard pressed to stop indulging once the spooky fun is over.

The rainy days have begun in earnest now, and you know what that means, it’s time to pull out those wellies again. I have a huge soft spot in my heart for a lovely rain boot, because they look cute yes, but mostly because they give us full permission to jump in puddles and splash around! And isn’t that one of life’s sweetest pleasures? I’m planning on a very traditional Hunter welly in either green or yellow for this year, but I am so tempted to add a tartan and riding boot version to the collection as well. Which would you pick?
