I’m usually stumped as to what to play during the Halloween season. The choices are at best overplayed and at worst downright tacky. And those haunted house soundtracks people play with the blood curdling screaming and such? Horrifying, no thank you, I drop my cocktail just thinking about it. This year I am finally prepared with a jazzy little playlist worthy of a swanky All Hallows Eve cocktail party! No screaming, no cocktail dropping, no Monster Mash.

Oh dear – this makes me want to like Halloween more than I do! When I think of it as pure classy swank, I love it. Monster Mashes, Haunted Houses and skanky outfits… those all turn me off far too much.

Kate – Oh yes, those are all the reasons I used to hate it too, but then I decided to just ignore all that and do it my way. I think of everything the skanky outfits are the worst, not every costume has to be a “sexy” fill in the blank, and yet costumes geared toward women seem to all be like that, annoying.
