One of the best things about being out of school is that the required reading list is now entirely under my own control! So while my teachers would have certainly called this list unfocused, I will happily fill my mind with everything from the history of the world to the history of the trench coat, exactly as it should be. Care to join me? And do share your own reading list with us, one can never have too many books am I right?

September always makes me nostalgic for the beginning of another school year, but this year especially, I just can’t shake the feeling. I want to walk to class on a chilly morning, coffee in hand, a fresh batch of school supplies in tow. And now that pre-exam jitters are no longer in the picture I can truly appreciate back to school time for the inspirational, fresh start season that it is. After all, if you learn something new every day you can stay a student for life! In that spirit I will be picking out a new non-fiction book to read, indulging in a more glamorous version of those school day standbys (wouldn’t you have loved looking up SAT words in that golden leather dictionary?), and channeling Kathleen Kelley from You’ve Got Mail with “bouquets of sharpened pencils” and “the smell of Scotch tape”.

We usually have to choose between comfort and beauty, but not with these stunning lingerie sets! I’ve never embraced the color blocking trend but I think these lovely intimates, with their soft satin and perfectly fall appropriate jewel tones, have just changed my mind. The emerald and champagne combination of that Marni set has me absolutely smitten. Wouldn’t these be lovely to lounge around in on lazy fall mornings?

My favorite season brings with it an excuse to shop for one of my favorite beauty indulgences, nail polish! As sad as I will be to retire my beloved Essie Clambake for the time being, I am thrilled to be diving into fall’s gorgeous hues. From the plums and purples to greens, blues, midnight grays/silvers, and stunning shades of gold, there are hardly enough days in the season to try them all. But, of course, that certainly won’t keep me from trying! Which shades are on your wish list this fall?
