I’ve been toying with the idea of getting a grown up tricycle for months now. As most of you know, I can’t ride a bike (or drive, or roller skate, or anything that involves wheels. Yes really.), so a tricycle is the perfect way for me to indulge my many bike fantasies without falling over in traffic. But the thought of riding a trike in public made me cringe a bit, I was certain everyone who saw me would laugh and think “she’s a bit too old for a tricycle, no?”.
A few weeks ago as we were driving to the beach we were cut off in traffic by a little old lady… on a tricycle! Let me tell you she looked adorable. (And we all know how cute Lela Rose looks riding around NYC on her tricycle) So I’ve decided that I’m not actually too old for a tricycle, I’m too young for one. And riding one now would just make me ahead of my time. A rebel even, right? Right?
Well, maybe not a rebel. But nonetheless dreams of carefree rides to the beach, little dog in a basket in the back, perfect picnic in the basket in front, are dancing around in my head. If I can find a trike as gorgeous as the one in the above photo you can bet you’ll see me riding by, honking my horn and grinning ear to ear!

Oh my goodness – the possibilities!! Please indulge yourself and get a tricycle. You really should!
A tricycle? Why not! I love biking…I actually just bought a beach cruiser and use it all the time!
How cute! I’ve been wanting a bike for awhile now – a tricycle sounds adorable!
I absolutely love this idea Em. I’ll keep my eye out for chic trikes.

OMG Em, you’re hilarious. I think you need to get that trike and trick it out all ladylike and fabulous. Of anyone I “know,” you could pull it off!
