It only takes a few really hot days to make me completely unable to tolerate hair on the back of my neck. I want it up and away, where the frizzy strands can’t tickle my arm and stick to my copious layers of sunblock. My side french braid doesn’t look nearly as neat as it does in the photo, I admit, but these three easy styles have served me very well in the past few weeks. With just a few good products and about 15 minutes I was able to look like I made an effort and stay (relatively) cool. A little tip for the side braid: tilt and rest your head on your left shoulder, and then simply braid straight down as you normally would. Much less likely to get your hands completely tangled in your own strands (as I did the first time around).
Side braid: Oscar Blandi Volumizing Dry Shampoo / Goody Bobby Pins / Blax Clear Elastics
Two braids: Fekkai Ironless Shampoo / Mason Pearson Brush / Fekkai Glossing Mist
Messy Buns: Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray / U Pins

i wish i was talented enough to attempt the first look. maybe i should get a room mate! lol
ooh I love the side braid… alas I have short hair although that hair style is enough to slightly tempt me to grow it.
Gosh, I keep on saying I should trying something akin to the first picture.
Love. Thanks for the top tip!
You are the best! I needed these recommendation, badly.
that last one is my absolute fave. and i have that surf spray, but mostly it just makes my hair turn to fuzz…somehow i don’t think that’s right, right?
