Longing For Cooler Days

I can’t wait until the weather allows for layers again. Especially if the layers are as chic as these. You really can’t go wrong with a striped tee and a navy blazer, and I may just be developing a permanent crush on pink trousers!

Motivate

These are the only motivational posters you’ll ever see hanging above my desk. A very to the point kick in the pants, 100% sugar free.  Well done Orange Beautiful, couldn’t have said it better myself!

Minty Fresh

There is no better way to freshen up and cool down than with delicious, fragrant mint! You may not be able to transform your stifling hot subway ride into a relaxing spa moment, but you will certainly lift your spirits and make the trip a bit more pleasant. And once you are home make your inner child giddy by blowing bubbles while scenting the air with Cold Mint, a totally genius idea, don’t you agree?

Neon Sea

Coral is already so beautiful, but dipped in a bit of neon paint it becomes extraordinary! The perfect way to take a bit of the sea with you all day long, as gorgeous with a bathing suit by the water as it is with a plain tank on dry land.

The More Wheels The Merrier

I’ve been toying with the idea of getting a grown up tricycle for months now. As most of you know, I can’t ride a bike (or drive, or roller skate, or anything that involves wheels. Yes really.), so a tricycle is the perfect way for me to indulge my many bike fantasies without falling over in traffic. But the thought of riding a trike in public made me cringe a bit, I was certain everyone who saw me would laugh and think “she’s a bit too old for a tricycle, no?”.

A few weeks ago as we were driving to the beach we were cut off in traffic by a little old lady… on a tricycle! Let me tell you she looked adorable. (And we all know how cute Lela Rose looks riding around NYC on her tricycle)  So I’ve decided that I’m not actually too old for a tricycle, I’m too young for one. And riding one now would just make me ahead of my time. A rebel even, right? Right?

Well, maybe not a rebel. But nonetheless dreams of carefree rides to the beach, little dog in a basket in the back, perfect picnic in the basket in front, are dancing around in my head. If I can find a trike as gorgeous as the one in the above photo you can bet you’ll see me riding by, honking my horn and grinning ear to ear!
