Clearly

I know the Charlotte Olympia Pandora Plexiglas Clutch is a bit too pricey to use as a makeup bag, but I am still obsessed with the idea. Wouldn’t it be fantastic to be able to see everything without digging around in a dark little pouch? Not to mention I could finally stop worrying that the contents are getting squished (and exploding everywhere) while I kick my carry-on under the seat in front of me! If anyone has found a more wallet friendly version do let us know, my cracked eyeliner (see aforementioned kicking incident) and I would be eternally grateful.

Smoldering

Even though I am fairly certain I could never pull off this look, I am always so drawn to a strong, heavy eye. Doesn’t Amanda Seyfried look breathtaking in these photos for the April 2011 issue of Elle? Perhaps I just need to be holding a cute little duck or lamb to make it work, (or, more likely, a makeup artist)! I’m sure they didn’t intend it to be, but this is definitely my idea of a fabulous Easter photoshoot.

Spring Statements

Even though the weather is not yet cooperating, these amazing necklaces by Lizzie Fortunato are giving me spring fever! Wouldn’t they be the perfect touch to add a bit of excitement to a plain outfit? Those bright colors are just what I need on cold or rainy days.

Golden Earth

It is interesting how opposite we consider wood and gold, one very glamorous the other very earthy and unassuming, when they both come to us straight from nature. But it is true, and when combined they balance each other out wonderfully and give a sense of casual, natural glamour. I inevitably start craving adornments that look plucked from the outdoors in springtime, so of course, I want to add a bit of gilded wood to every room, and fill my jewelry box too!

Small Dose ~ Pink and Red

This summery photo shows just how lovely pink and red can look together. Of course on the lips you’ll have to commit to one or the other, but when it comes to jewelry, pile on both hues and just try not to smile as you go about your day. I promise you won’t be able to stop yourself!

P.S. Is anyone else as smitten with her amazing side braid as I am? I wish I could grow my hair to that length by summer, I would rock that braid all season long!
