One of the simplest and yet most effective beauty tricks I’ve picked up along the way is double cleansing. I can’t remember anymore where I read about it, but I believe it is a common beauty practice among the gorgeous ladies of Japan and I will be forever grateful to them for sharing it with the rest of us. The idea is to wash the face twice, once to remove makeup and then again to remove impurities from the pores, with either a makeup remover followed by cleanser or (as I do) a two in one cleanser like Purity Made Simple for both washes. Whether you wear makeup often or prefer a fresh face I promise you will notice a difference in skin clarity and pore size after a few evenings with this routine! I have been double cleansing for a couple of years now and every time I get lazy (and don’t we all from time to time?) within a couple of days I can see that my skin is not looking its best. Give it a try this evening, I’d love to know what you think!

Perfect timed post for being over in Uk as it’s not long until I go to sleep. It will be a double cleansing night tonight. Hope the snow isn’t too bad.
Intriguing! I hardly every wear makeup (out of laziness usually!), but I will definitely try this out! Thanks for the tip!

Hey I used this stuff in the shower last night!! My sis-in-law got me a little kit for Christmas and I really like it.

Nice! I’ve been double cleansing forever (b/c my skin is super oily & I feel like one wash just isn’t enough) so glad to know I’m doing something good for my skin!
See I do a wash, then a good swipe with a gentle toner and that helps me a ton. I only just started doing this a couple years ago and saw a huge difference.
I’d love to try this out though.
hmmm, considering the winter air is doing sketchy things to my face, I’m willing to spend an extra two minutes at the sink every night!
Awesome advice, Em! Thanks for sharing! I will definitely try tonight as I don’t have the nicest skin..
I might have to give this tip a try. I use an eye make up remover, then my cleanser, then my toner. So maybe I’ll try an extra go around with my cleanser and see if I notice a difference. Fun advice.
i will try–i use kiehl’s now but am hearing such good things about purity made simple that i may just need to switch…
