Happy New Year everyone! I am so excited to wake up to a brand new year tomorrow morning, full of possibilities and still clean of blunders or blemishes of any kind. I hadn’t intended to be gone for so long (and I did miss you all so) but it turns out my first New Year’s resolution fell into my lap these past few days: to give one hundred percent of myself to one thing at a time. My natural Virgo tendency is to try to do all things and be all things at once, but as those of you who have tried it will know, most of the time that simply doesn’t work out. So in the coming year I plan to really give my all to the task at hand, even if that task is black and white movie marathons, glitter polish manicure sessions, and lengthy home-cooked meals with some of my very favorite people, as it has been these past few days.
I’ll be ringing in the New Year with a quiet, candlelit evening for two (plus one little terrier, of course), toasting with some lovely Champagne in even lovelier coupes I found under the Christmas tree (yay!), and hoping for a year filled with love and joy for myself and all of you dear friends. 2011 is going to be THE year, I just know it! Can you feel it too?

Today is my dearest friend’s birthday, and I do hope it is very happy!!! Although we can’t be together this year my garland is still green as I think of all the joy, laughter, tears and love we have shared over the years. I couldn’t have wished for a better friend, or a more precious sister than sweet Melissa. All my love is pointed west today, I hope you feel it as you blow those candles out. Happy 29th Birthday honey!

This gorgeous Harry Winston Holiday campaign is truly the stuff that sparkly Christmas dreams are made of! Finding one of these baubles under the tree would make for a very merry Christmas indeed, especially that heart stopping sapphire ring. Wouldn’t it be an absolute dream come true to play dress up at Harry Winston, even for just one day? My only worry would be how to keep from fainting.
