Eva Zeisel

I am such a huge fan of Eva Zeisel, who I fell in love with while registering for our wedding dinnerware. ¬†She is a remarkably talented woman with a rich life story, and I often think about her as I set our table with her gorgeous pieces (featured on Mad Men!). Eva turned 103 years old last November and is still working and creating new designs, an inspiration to us all! I hope to acquire many more of her pieces through the years but for now I’m focusing on collecting as many extra place settings as I can in case they are discontinued (and to replace broken pieces, not that this ever happens to moi!). Don’t you just love all the curves and shapes she creates?

They’re so elegant. Rather irresistable if I do say so!

I recently read something about her. I love her pieces but her life story really is amazing. How great that you have some of her pieces.

I just read a fascinating article about her life, and now I can’t for the life of me remember where. Anyway, I think she’s really inspirational and every piece of hers is like a work of art. Gorgeous!
