After spending yesterday making grabby hands at a book cover for my laptop, and browsing away the night using up a bookstore gift card, well, I have books on my mind! I am always rearranging my bookshelves, and usually remove book jackets for a more classic look. It is no surprise that I am drawn to these classic titles with gorgeous cloth covers. Wouldn’t you love to have a shelf full of these beauties? Replacing books I already own simply for the snazzy cover goes against my thrifty conscience, but you can bet before I buy another book I will see if it is available in one of these wonderful designs.
Available on Amazon.

There are many things I find, and subsequently covet, but few make me squeal with glee like the BookBook did!
I love modern gadgetry and design probably more than your average person, but at the same time think I should have been born in the Art Deco era. The BookBook laptop case perfectly represents this crazy contradiction! Who can resist keeping something as modern as a MacBook inside something that looks antique? Plus I will admit, the idea of being able to hide your laptop among the books on your shelf definitely appeals to my inner James Bond.
For those of you considering the iPad there may soon be a BookBook for you as well, find out more here.

This is the little cottage owned by Kate Winslet’s character, Iris, in “The Holiday”. Isn’t this just the loveliest little home? I have been smitten by this house since seeing the movie years ago. The cute entry, the cozy blue ottoman in the living room, the library wall, be still my heart! Our kitchen also features a fireplace and I would love to be able to enjoy it more often, perhaps with a little table for two . But riddle me this Iris, where is your fridge? I think if I knew what to do with ours we would be a lot closer to the kitchen in the photo than we currently are.

Monkeys have long been one of my very favorite animals. It is definitely on my bucket list to hold a little baby monkey, so it is no surprise to anyone who knows me that this cute monkey necklace has made my list of covetables. For everyone else not quite as monkey inclined feast your eyes on the very stylish feather necklace. Both from Odette New York.

It has been pouring all day long, but I don’t mind. I’m one of the few, odd people out there who love rainy days. There is something so romantic and cozy about a dark, rainy day that makes me want to make a cup of tea and watch black and white movies. If you are like most people you probably feel like you need a little pick me up on those days. Give these funny and adorable earrings by Les Delicieuses a try. Because a little bit of jewelry makes everything better, am I right?
